The client wanted "something special" for the cover of their Year 2000 Annual which portrayed the community as a fine place to live and work. The major businesses needed to be represented, as well as the leading edge technology in which they are involved. ![]() The vast majority of the image was created using 3D modeling techniques. The resulting rendering was then edited in image editing programs. In this case, the actual and relative dimensions of the objects have been loosely interpreted for the purposes of the illustration. However, it is possible to build a model using actual dimensions (whether measured from the site or from sources such as maps and blueprints) to achieve high levels of realism. Once the model is created, it becomes a "database" of the subject. Elements can be added or deleted. Also, additional views of the model can be rendered by adding "cameras". | ![]() |
