Before you start: A friendly exchange between
BICpals
classes might be a good way to kick off the class aspect of the program. Students can write
brief biographies about themselves to share. Some standard information
might include:
- age
- brothers and sisters
- hobbies or activities
- favorite books, TV shows
- general interests (favorite sports teams, music lessons, computer games)
School to School: Check out what students in other
schools are doing. Students can create their own class newsletters
to exchange. Articles might include:
- interesting topics you are studying at the moment
- field trips
- special sports teams news or other events
- school dances (what is the theme?), (when are they held?)
- anyone recognized for something special recently? (written about in the local paper, received an award of some kind, scored the most points in a sporting event)
