Kick off the program by contacting your BICpals partner teacher. Introduce yourself and set up a system for corresponding that works well for both of you. The teachers are the ones who keep the program rolling, so keep in touch. A quick note is only an e-mail away. To keep with our theme, Alike and Different, we have outlined 6 projects you and your partner teacher may want to discuss in the Idea Center. Each time the theme changes, so will the helpful projects in the Idea Center. You and your partner teacher should decided at what pace you will be moving through the projects, though we hope to update the idea center each semester.A highlight of this program is the BICpals "Hall of Fame ." Each week we'll post some great BICpals class projects on this section of the site. Be sure to send us your best. Don't forget to check out the BIC Quality Comes in Writing website for some fun, interactive writing activities your students can do.
